Religious Education
About Our Religious Education Curriculum
It is the intent of the curriculum to:
- develop knowledge and respect of the diverse religions in the community and around the world
- understand the importance of celebrations and ceremonies
RE will be taught in weekly in addition to daily opportunities to discuss values, beliefs and customs. Within the curriculum, children have the opportunity to learn a diversity of religions, their customs, beliefs and key figures. Our links to the community religious organisations, Parish Church of St George and the Bible Society (Open Book), will allow for worship as a whole school. In addition, our school has close links to the Vineyard Church (Storehouse) which provides food parcels and support to families in need. Our close links to the community, helps religious education come to life.
